After going to see our associate Taylor, I am desperate to have heated flooring! My associate from university invited myself and others over to his condo for a week. I made the long drive up north to visit him & just catch up. The highlight of the trip was his furnace. I was toasty moderate without seeing any sort of oil furnace or fireplace. I finally asked our neighbor what heating plan he owned & he pointed to the floor. Turns out he uses his boiler plan in the basement to heat his flooring. Piping is connected to the boiler & then stretched throughout his floors. Hot water runs from the boiler & through the pipes to create a heating effect… Since it is water, there is no heated air rising to the ceiling or dirty air polluting the air quality. The pipes are stretched evenly throughout the condo too. So that means there are no cold spots someplace. The radiant heat also warms all stationary objects. The chairs, couch & loveseat all felt love heated seats, and due to all these factors, Taylor is able to set his control component a little lower since it feels much hotter in his home. He is actually saving currency with this furnace! After a week in luxury it was a letdown coming condo to our outdated gas oil furnace. The air felt stuffy & dirty. I also noticed that the beach house just didn’t guess as moderate as our friend’s did. I am going to have to update soon. I need a up-to-date boiler plan first, & then I have to get the necessary machine to have hydronic heating.
