I hope I can get some help choosing between cherry or oak furniture

Ok internet, I’m redecorating our modern property and I need your help on a rather substantial aesthetic question.

Should I use oak custom furniture or cherry custom furniture? I entirely appreciate wooden chairs and custom sofas, so I want to be certain I keep that wooden furniture aesthetic throughout the property.

I have painted the walls all neutral colors so I know either cherry furniture or oak furniture would look wonderful, I’m just having a tough time deciding what genre of wood furniture I would like to use. My initial thought was cherry furniture because I have used oak furniture in the past. The thing is, I loved the oak furniture. I know oak furniture gives a property the sense of “home”. I easily remember oak wood furniture easily because it’s the kind of wooden tables and wooden chairs that my grandparents used to have when I was a little kid. I feel that cherry wood is much more popular now, though. Cherry furniture—especially glossy cherry furniture—gives a property the total sense of completion. My best associate described cherry furniture as the genre of furniture that says, “an adult lives at this property”. I seriously don’t know how true that really is—and I certainly know that I’m a big child at heart—however I want to make sure I’m making our modern property look its finest. I care about any perspective anyone might have on the oak wood vs cherry wood discussion and I would be cheerful to provide pictures or any needed information to make the decision easier. Thank you so much in advance for all of your assistance with this!
